We are excited to announce that we have a rare opportunity to onboard a new team of palliative care professionals to join a community service which is based around the Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire areas.
We have been the sole agency supplier to this service for the past nine years, so if you are looking for continuity in your role this will be the perfect position for you.
This project provides essential end of life care to patients within the comfort of their own homes. Prospective care staff must have access to their own car and have a full UK driving licence in order to apply.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for working as a lone worker or as a double up providing personal and emotional care to palliative care patients.
- You will be required to assist to both the physical and mental needs of the patients and their families. You must be compassionate, friendly and reliable to be considered for this position.
- You will be required to travel between patients homes to provide the highest quality of care.
Locations covered by the service:
The rotas and patient rounds are split up between Northwest Hertfordshire, South Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire rounds. Your round would consist of patients in similar areas to minimise the driving however this does depend on the patient referral caseload.North Buckinghamshire: Slough, Marlow, Burnham, Iver, Beaconsfield, Bourne End and Gerrards Cross
Mid Buckinghamshire: The Chalfonts, Amersham, High Wycombe and Chesham, Tring, The Risborough (including Bledlow & Loosley Row) Aston Clinton, Chinnor, Eddlesborough, Ivinghoe, Pitstone Dunsmore, Great Missenden and Prestwood
Hertfordshire: St Albans, Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Bushey, Abbots Langley, Chandlers Cross, Potters Bar, Barnet, South Mimms, Radlett, Elstree and Boreham Wood
Pay Rates:
Mileage: 45p per mile
Monday to Saturday: £12.82 - £14.57
Sunday & Bank Holidays: £13.00 - £15.00
Shift Patterns: (please note that the majority of the shifts are from 08:00-20:00 and run from Monday to Sunday)
Early: 08:00-12:00 or 08:00-15:00 / 16:00
Late: 14:00 - 20:00 or 15:00-20:00
Long Day: 08:00-20:00 or 09:00-21:00
Requirements from you:
- UK Drivers Licence
- Use of own vehicle
- You must be reliable and punctual
- An in-date DBS (if you do not have this you must be willing to pay for a new certificate)
- Minimum of 6 months care experience
