Join Our Compassionate Team – Mental Health Support Worker

Are you a dedicated Support Worker eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with their mental health? We are looking for empathetic, committed Support Workers to join our team and provide essential support to people experiencing mental health crises.

About the Role:

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will offer both emotional and practical support to individuals in crisis, creating a safe, welcoming, and comforting environment where they can be heard and supported—whether over the phone or face-to-face. This service operates seven days a week with shifts available on an ad-hoc basis.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Creating a Safe Haven: Providing a compassionate, non-judgmental space where individuals feel comfortable to talk or simply be present, based on their needs.

  • Providing One-on-One Support: Offering practical and emotional assistance, helping individuals discover coping strategies and explore ways to move forward.

  • Promoting Resolution: Collaborating with individuals to understand their situations and empowering them with tools to manage their distress.

  • Offering Guidance & Information: Sharing valuable resources and practical advice to support mental health recovery.

  • Signposting & Referrals: Connecting individuals to additional resources and long-term support when needed.

  • Working Hours: 17:30 - 01:30

Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking compassionate and empathetic Support Workers with experience or interest in mental health support. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • A commitment to creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

  • Ideally, access to a car due to the working hours of the role.
