Band 6 Locum Occupational Therapist
Location: Newport, Isle of Wight
Contract Duration: May 2025, Initially 3 months
Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days, ideally including Monday)
Rate: £24.00ph - £26.00ph (Umbrella Equivalent)
About the Role
We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a NHS Hospital in Isle of Wight. This is an exciting opportunity to work across inpatient and community settings, covering a variety of specialist areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Manage a defined caseload using evidence-based, patient-centred approaches.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
Work across different specialist areas within inpatient and community settings.
Supervise and support Occupational Therapy students on placement.
Provide leadership to junior staff, including Band 5 OTs and therapy assistants.
Contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy service.
Maintain HCPC registration and engage in ongoing professional development.
What We’re Looking For:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with relevant experience.
Ability to work flexibly across varied healthcare settings.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Passion for developing services and improving patient outcomes.
