  • Interpret assessment data and create clinical assessment reports with clear intervention plans.
  • Develop child/family-centred treatment plans using goal attainment scaling.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group therapy sessions within the school setting.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical record-keeping.
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to promote child safety and risk management.
  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities and undertake additional duties as required.
  • Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • Recognised Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Health Professions Council (HCPC) registration – Licence to Practice.
  • Experience working in paediatric clinical or educational settings.
  • Strong understanding of conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Dyspraxia, Sensory Processing Disorder, and neurological disorders.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of paediatric assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, analytical, and reflective abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for complex case presentations.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, audit principles, and professional standards.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards working with diverse needs.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel reliably to the school location.
  • Desirable: Car driver.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including moving therapy equipment and working with children at floor/small table levels.
  • Comfortable working in challenging conditions (e.g., supporting children with personal care needs).

Why Join Us?

  • Work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
  • Make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with complex needs.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities.
