CS England- B5

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered General/Mental Health Nurse to work in Southampton. Day or night shifts are available Monday to Sunday. Pay is competitive and negotiable dependent on experience. This is a 3-6 month contract working for the NHS. Main responsibilities include:

Assess patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload

Administering medication

Changing dressings

Checking the status of wounds

Attending patient care-plan meetings

Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals health and well-being needs

Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information

Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others

Promote best practices as a Staff Nurse - RGN or RMN in health and safety and security

Assist in maintaining and developing services

Contribute to quality improvement

Promote peoples equality, diversity and rights

Work autonomously with minimum supervision

Applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes

Ensure effective communication with relatives and other healthcare professionals.

Team player

Competence across a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge

Demonstrate principles of accountable practice as a Staff Nurse - RGN or RMN

Passion for the role

Problem Solving and Continuous improvement

Effective interpersonal communication and Influencing skills

Strong business acumen as well as the ability to plan and maintain organisation

Empathy for vulnerable and sick patients

Passionate about importance of EO and dignity at work

Qualifications Applicants must have:

Have a valid NMC PIN (we would still like to hear from those awaiting their PIN)

Be prepared to complete an application for a full DBS disclosure

Have 2 suitable references (professional and/or educational)

Be eligible to work in the UK
