Are you a qualified Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Carer with a desire to help make a positive impact to a patient’s quality of life, whilst building upon your skills?
TLTP Medical is currently recruiting on behalf of several NHS Trusts, dedicated and engaging Healthcare Assistants, Support Workers and Carers to help contribute to the on-going services within NHS hospitals.
What we can the Healthcare Assistant role offer you:
We have full day, half day and night shifts available, alongside full-time and part-time positions in various hospitals across Hertfordshire.
Previous experience in healthcare is preferred and full training is also provided within the role.
What does the Healthcare Assistant role entail?
Your primary responsibility will be to support patients in hospital wards. You will work under indirect supervision of the clinical team and undertake task and duties delegated by the clinical team including:
- A healthcare assistant must offer daily maintenance to patients and assist them with washing, showering and oral care.
- Healthcare Assistants will also be required to apply lotions and creams, when required, especially around pressure areas.
- Other healthcare assistant tasks include dressing and undressing patients, when necessary.
- All healthcare assistants must carry out their duties in accordance with the CQC Essential standards of quality and safety.
- Healthcare Assistants must monitor the progress of patients and report back to their families.
- As a healthcare assistant, you will be expected to care for patients and their families in the same way we would want for our loved-ones.
- You will also utilise your first-class communication and interpersonal skills to create a genuine bond with the patient.
The ideal Healthcare Assistant should have the following:
- Qualification to Band 2 level / Health and Social Care or equivalent with some experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and vibrant character, who can build a strong rapport with patients and their loved-ones.
- Familiarity with care plans and carrying out necessary tasks.
- Up to date training and immunisations.
- A current DBS (we can apply for a DBS if you do not have one).
Hours of Work

Shifts are highly flexible; offering part-time and full-time hours Monday to Sunday.
The roles are for an immediate start offering competitive daily and weekend rates which are paid weekly. As a guide, via an Umbrella comapny you can expect to earn:
- Mon-Fri day rate: up to £14.57ph
- Weeknights rate: up to £14.57
- Saturday rate: up to £14.57ph
- Bank Holidays & Sunday rate: up to £15.00ph
